Feb 2023 Release: "Elemental" Art Show to Feature Work of Six Local, Extremely Diverse and Talented Ojai Artists

Ojai, CA - "Elemental," An art exhibit featuring the work of six talented Ojai artists will run from April 2nd to April 30th with an opening reception Sunday, April 16th, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at The Ojai Art Center.

"Elemental" will showcase a diverse range of artistic styles and mediums, all inspired by the four elements of nature: earth, air, water, and fire. The six participating artists: Ingrid Boulting, Carlos Grasso, Gretchen Greenberg, Susan Griffin, Thomas Hardcastle, and Mariana Peirano, have created thought-provoking and visually stunning pieces that explore the power and beauty of the natural world.

Carlos Grasso uses paint and paper or found objects on canvas to create vibrant mandalas and textured panels that evoke dynamic energy. While Gretchen Greenberg takes a more tranquil approach with her pastel paintings and wood sculptures that capture the fluidity and serenity of nature. Mariana Peirano’s magical paintings capture the earth and humanity in their true forms.

Susan Griffin’s pastel and charcoal works manifest the beauty and spiritual significance of the four forces of nature. Ingrid Boulting’s paintings embody strength and grounding energy as she uses shadow and light with true passion. Thomas Hardcastle's larger-than-life mixed media pieces represent the ever-changing nature of our world featuring fire, media and apocalyptic scenes.

The "Elemental" art show promises to be a must-see exhibition for art lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. In addition, a Patio Pop-Up Show of recent work will be featured Sat. & Sun., April 15th & 16th, from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The exhibit and pop-up show will feature a wide range of artwork for sale.
